BATTERY TESTER BT1
Measure Voltage — Internal Resistance — Residual Capacity
Ideal for measurements on any type of battery up to 60V — 20A/h
** Not representative for measurements on lithium batteries **
The new BAT TEST BT1 It is an innovatively designed instrument for battery status testing, suitable for verifying the efficiency of commonly used rechargeable batteries: its ease of use, reading accuracy, immediate response and protection against operating errors make it the ideal tool for operational use in the field, in industrial sectors, in maintenance, in the laboratory.
It allows the simultaneous measurement of Voltage V - Internal Resistance mΩ - Remaining Capacity/h (only for lead acid batteries).
Measures batteries from 1.2 Vdc up to 60 Vdc, from < 0.25 A/h to >20 A/h:
- Pb lead
- NiCd nickel cadmium
- NiNH nickel metal hydrate
- All battery: all other types of batteries (lithium, alkaline, carbon, etc.)
The measurement is displayed using a 16x2 dot matrix LCD display, with simultaneous indication of the voltage V, the internal resistance mΩ and the Remaining Capacity A/h (only for lead acid batteries), for a reliable, simple and immediate reading of the state of the battery under test.
Ideal for measurements on all types of batteries in security and fire protection systems, telecommunications, emergency lights, UPS systems, portable instrumentation, electric vehicles and in any sector where rechargeable batteries are used.
The instrument is powered by AA alkaline or rechargeable batteries, with a long operating range. It is also possible to power the appliance with an optional external power supply.
The device is equipped with internal protection against measuring a battery with a voltage that is too high (above 50 Vdc) and against temporary overheating due to excessively intensive or erroneous use, against polarity reversal.
Survey of the measurement of the dynamic resistance of the 4-wire battery, with an impulsive method with high immunity to any network disturbances, both at 50 Hz and at 60 Hz.
The instrument is supplied complete with Kelvin type measuring cables: in these cables, two clamps are used for measuring voltage and two other clamps for measuring current. The separation of the two pairs allows obtaining more accurate measurements than the normal two-terminal technique, allowing the cable impedance to be eliminated from the measurement.
Two different models of Kelvin cables are available for every customer need (to be specified in the order):
KB7: Pair of Kelvin wires - cable L=1.60mt - pliers with max opening 7mm
KB32: Pair of Kelvin wires - cable L=1,00mt - pliers with max opening 32mm
The equipment includes the carrying case and the user manual.
** Not representative for measurements on lithium batteries **

Do you need a replacement probe?
We can provide replacement probes both in case the probe breaks and if the customer wants to have both types of probe (standard and flat).
The probes are interchangeable after recalibrating the instrument, which is carried out using the ST200 Calibration System.
The technical details of the probes and the calibration system are available on the side or by downloading the PDF with the button below.
SM5 - Standard probe
The head of the measuring probe, to allow the most precise possible positioning of the pre-brush spring, is shaped with a 120° wide “V” groove and
central cylindrical recess with diameter 5 mm and depth 1.5 mm, for housing the cylindrical pressure finger of helical spiral pre-brush springs:
- total probe height = 8 mm
- dimensions 16 x 10 x 8 mm
SM5/F - Flat probe
For special applications or for specific customer needs, the probe head is flat, without the “V” slot and the cylindrical recess, the height of the probe is smaller:
- without “V” groove and cylindrical recess
· total probe height = 7 mm
- dimensions 16 x 10 x 7 mm
ST200 - Calibration System
The probes are interchangeable after re-calibrating the instrument, carried out using the optional ST200 Calibration System, which is also used to periodically check the correct calibration of the probe over time.
The ST200 Calibration System is supplied with a sample weight of 2 kg
Kelvin cables
The four-terminal (Kelvin) measurement method uses two leads for current and two for voltage, to eliminate the resistance of the measurement leads and improve accuracy.
There are two different types of Kelvin Leads, the length of the lead can be customized.
KB7 - Kelvin cable
Pair of Kelvin KB7 type measuring cables with crocodile clips with max opening 7mm -
Cable length = 1.60m
KB32 - Kelvin cable
Pair of Kelvin KB32 type measuring cables with crocodile clips with max opening 32mm -
Cable length = 1 m
